Creature from Montreal wearing Mackage
I was asked to help out on some pulling for this shoot. The stylist gave me a call and asked if I could hook him up with some of my clients that were looking for exposure.S URE THING !!!! So he wanted some dope jackets and I hooked him up with Mackage. Here is the end result. The band featured is creature they are from Montreal. LOVE LOVE Mackage.

  • 1- She is TITA JOYYYY !!!!!!!!!
  • 2- Cause any outing with her is HILARIOUS unless she is LES MISERABLES that night
  • 3- She has the most tolerance for drinking- do not try to outdrink her !!!!
  • 4- She has her own words and lingo - that are so funny and you soon catch yourself saying like UNHOLLER lmao
  • 5- She keeps people in check and they love her for it !!! I think its amazing that she can do that !
  • 6- She can be passed out on the couch after the club and then all of a sudden will jump into a convo while we thought she was sleeping JOKES
  • 7- As much fun as she is partying and stuff she's on her work shit and a career woman- an inspiration !

  • 1- The first time I walked into the office and he came in for his interview he wore a suit and I was like WOAH this guy is DAMN TALL !!!!
  • 2-He may be quiet at first sight but he holds a lot of knowledge !
  • 3-The first year I met Reme I was struggling with a lot of things internally and he always sat there while I was throwing a fit and just listened- as awkward as it may have been for him.
  • 4-He has the biggest heart out of anyone I know.
  • 5- He is always willing to help anyone no matter what !!!!
  • 6- He is mostly the one who listens to my ranting when I get off the phone from a messed up call or just got a messed up email. His cool, calm, collected approach brings me down to a 5 almost immediately. lol
  • 7- He has quickly become part of my "family" of Universal boys- because he also always has my back
  • 8- He teaches me all the web / graphic stuff I need to know on hand. He's like my human Wikipedia

  • 1. When I first started at Universal - he would teach me all the tedious stuff I needed to learn like mailouts - making vinyl etc.
  • 2. At the first Def Jam Christmas party I went to - my first open bar- I drank way to much wine and he came in the woman's washroom to pick me off the ground and make sure I was ok
  • 3.He is the good Samaritan - only guy I know who does dishes at a house party
  • 4. He's like the dad in the Universal fam we have - always teaching us the lesson where we fucked up and always there to listen to our never ending stories
  • 5. He believed in me from day one- even when I thought I couldn't be a First Lady he didn't let me hang up my hat- he told me to keep pressing
  • 6. Cause only when he's drunk he turns into a LOUD Kamoya- very rarely seen
  • 7. Just as all my boys- he has always been there for me - from day one
  • 8. When I need advice on men, his advice as well as Jody's is the most sensible
  • 9. One time and one time only he screamed at me at the MMVA's the first one Kanye made an appearance at- cause I was complaining about what I was wearing- he yelled at me and put me in check REAL FAST

2009 and beyond
  • Haven't written in a while, been busy trying to stay up to date. So many things going on. Firstly your girl finally finished her portfolio and although I have been doing business is now LEGIT in doing business and I have it all to PROVE OUT !!! lol
  • Big things going on this year, as I told you guys early January- this year is going to be a good one. A lot of new projects on the go. Embracing new friendships, new family, new friends and saluting the old friends that have gone their way.
  • One thing I want to do more this year, is be thankful for the people in my life that make things possible for me. So you will see a lot more of that on this blog. I gotta give thanks, cause none of this was done on my own.
  • Last but not least thank you to all the wonderful people that came out to celebrate with me this weekend, for my bday. Thank you for all the well wishes. Unlike every other year, this year I didn't want to invite random people out, I didn't care how many people were there I wanted to be surrounded by people that I knew had nothing but love for me and vice versa. NO more of that random stupidness. Friday night I went to see the Clipse with some friends at Circa had a blast !!! Until the performance was done. Then it was time to go eat some food- homegirl Joy and I just rolled out Circa turned into a Circus real talks.
  • Saturday I went out to This Is London with the CP crew and my friends. It was a great time :-) Danced like no one was watching, drank a lot but didn't get out of hand. Walking out of the club trying to be cute I slipped and fell on my ass in the snow lmao so funny I couldn't stop laughing.
  • I was wearing a slamming outfit that Carlo Alfonso the stylist extraordinaire picked out for me from head to toe. SMASHING !!!! love him. I gotta thank all my friends for coming out too- all that mattered to me was that my real friends were there.
  • Another year older another year wiser. I am already going at 300% I have no time to waste this year real talks. I just gotta get it done. By any means necessary. As I said before leaving MTL, I am going hard this year for everything I leave behind in MTL and for all that I don't have in Toronto.
  • Anyway- lots of love ya'll - I ain't about shit this year but getting my PAYPA- CAUSE I'M A PAYPA CHAYSA LOL

Morning Inspiration
Woke up early this morning, which is not usual for me. It was about 7 am and I didn't know what to do with myself. I used to be an avid reader of the bible, so I decided to pick up my bible and read over my favorite passages. I felt that it would be a great start to my day. Indeed, the more I read the more encouraged I became to have a great day. So I want to start a new thread on my blog, titled Morning Inpirations. I will note some words of wisdom in the morning- that will carry me through my day and I hope will help you as well.

Frankie Payne - Reach (For My City)
If you don't know Frankie Payne get familiar. I love this guy and his passion for music. When I was introduced to this guy by Reme, I didn't know his rapping history, I am not gonna front. Then I witnessed it for myself- went to a couple of Freestyle battles and I watched this guy captivate the crowd and turn them into instant fans. That's when I knew without anyone telling me, I had witness a man with great talent and passion. So here is the first single off his new project- title "Reach (For My City)" produced by Tone Mason. I am sure you have heard it heating up the radio station.

Top Ten Reasons Why I love These Guys !!!!!!!
I really like this picture, so I had to post this one. Although that means I will have to post a top 10 for each of the guys.
  • So here we go top 10 reasons why I LOVE BIG IVES (he's my boss, friend) we also call him grandpa - cause he says yes to everything like a grandpa lol
  • 1. He's the best boss any of you could ever dream of having and guess what he's my boss lol
  • 2. He's the funniest friend / boss any of you could dream of
  • 3. Cause when I first came in here for an interview I thought I had to dress up and then when I saw him I saw- it was SO HIP HOP
  • 4. Cause he will always go to BAT for me no matter what
  • 5. Cause I know that most of the opportunities I have - are thanks to him and the doors he has opened for me
  • 6. I know you all wish you could party and get drunk with your boss on a weekday lol
  • 7. When I first started working here 5 years ago I lived in ssauga and couldn't go home after the parties - he always offered his couch for me to sleep on
  • 8. If I come to work upset or sad he will always try to make me laugh most often by saying "Tell 'em why you mad D"
  • 9. He's the only boss I know who will let me take the morning off to do my hair- and I tell him the truth
  • 10. He gave me a chance when I didn't think I could even get a start in this industry, he believed in me.

  • 1. I love Jody because he is the mediator, whenever an argument errupts he takes no side, he listens to all sides and mediates
  • 2. He is the funniest when he gets drunk - he gets so aggressive
  • 3. Cause he's a NINJA- lol he disapears at the blink of an eye and if shit pops off he's ready to go
  • 4. When I go through my house music phases- Jody is always down to join me
  • 5. I love Jody because out of all the guys I work with his advice makes the most sense !!!
  • 6. I love the way he is a chameleon he always blends well with any person he speaks to
  • 7. Cause he's the hardest worker and he doesn't even know it

  • 4. I love his daughter she's the best way to brighten up my day when I see her
  • 5. Cause one time we went to MTL and he picked up a girl who couldn't even speak english and he couldn't' speak french lmao lmao
  • 6. His advice is always the same when it comes to giving me advice on dudes "FUCK EM'"
  • 7. OMG - one time he lost the keys to the Caribana cars and I had to drive him back to Scarborough to find them and missed the JAY-Z party
  • 8. Once a kid on the street team was being mad rude to me and Josh stepped up and had my back
  • 9. He was the first person to call me Ella - after Umbrella by Rihanna since everyone always gets my name wrong "Her name is Daniella ella ella eh eh eh" lmao
  • 10. He taught me to always stand up for myself and take shit from NO ONE

So to continue with the thread. I had to post about Sophia my homegirl, she's gonna kill me when she sees this. I love this girl to death, my ride or die any day. It was only right that I made a post about her.

  • 2. Cause she just gets it she thinks just like me and is not afraid to tell me when something is ugly on me or when I am making a fool of myself

  • 4. She is always down to go on missions with me- no matter how far...
  • 5. We went to see Kanye's first ever show in Toronto together at The Docks
  • 6. She is the coolest mom I know- by far !!!!!!!!!
  • 7. We once made our own First Lady t-shirts !!!!!!!!
  • 8. We used to flyer on the streets together and hand out First Lady lollipops - Nuff Said
  • 9. Cause she knows how to act around artists- unlike SOME of my "friends" that I bring around and then they turn FOOL- you'd swear they need a tutorial on how to act.
  • 10. We have had some great moments- Been There Done That moments that I can't discuss on here... but I will always remember them and she always has my back.

Back and feeling SICK
I apologize for not blogging- I was trying to enjoy my time in Montreal without taking too much time to write about it. I had such a fabolous time. If you have ever left where you were born to live somewhere else, then like me, you understand what it means to go back home and get back to your roots. What a feeling. It is so refreshing to go back to Montreal, although I have made Toronto where I rest my head, Montreal is still my home. It is where I was born, where I grew up. Seeing my family was great, couldn't get enough of the family dinners. I gotta hit the gym for real. My stomache is bulging like its no one's business. Gotta get beach ready for Miami - WMC 09.
  • Good times with friends as well. What I learned over the holidays that was very important is, although you may have known someone for a long period of time, it doesn't mean that their friendship is better than someone you have known for a lesser amount of time. TAKE NOTES !!! Real talks !!!!
  • What I love the most about Montreal is that no one really cares about what I do in Montreal- I LOVE IT !!!! I am just DANIELLA- with an A and pronounced in the french way, the way its supposed to be.
  • I am completely spent from my holidays. I feel like I need another vacation- where I can enjoy doing nothing. I am thinking NYC. I also have a cold now- probably due to the dress I wore on NYE when it was -30 outside. YUCK !!!! Sure sucks to come back home and be sick.
  • Anywho- I am excited for the new year and getting shit on the go. Carlo Alfonso the stylist that I manage has got some heat coming up for you guys, I can't wait to introduce him to you guys and have you guys be familiar with his work. HE KICKS BUTT, he's not your average stylist. Trip on the way gotta hit up NYC, MIA & LA connect the dot with some new contacts and put a face to their names. :-)
  • OH yeah I am really excited as well for January 28th- City TV Breakfast Television is coming through THE REMIX !!!!!!!

Danny Fernandes- New Year`s Eve Nathan Philip Square
While I was busy having fun in Montreal, getting ready to party on NYE, one very special and important person was holding it down in Toronto getting stuff done. That person would be Carlo Alfonso- who is a stylist that I manage. He got the dancers and Danny Fernandes lookin fly for their New Year`s Eve performance in front of 50,000 people.
  • I was able to watch it live from the hotel party I was at- and let me tell you, Danny did a phenomenal job perfoming and Carlo did a stellar job styling. Look out for Carlo Alfonso `s work in 09 cause he`s about to take over- remember I said so.
