"Je me souviens"

There is something about Montreal that can only be felt once you step foot here. Something that you can't explain- that you have to feel for yourself. Ask anyone about Montreal and they will probably tell you "It's cold as shit there"- well, that can be true but the warmth of the people here is unlike anywhere else. For me Montreal is more than that- its where I was born- it's where my culture is, it's where my family is. What a nostalgic feeling to be back in the place where it all began, before any of this was to be. It definetly keeps me grounded to come back here every so often. Sometimes I can go so long doing my own thing in Toronto- and doing "ME" that I forget there is a whole other side to me that I left behind in Montreal. A side that I can only be reunited with once I am back here. Once I am reunited with that side of me I feel whole again. I feel grounded. Nothing like family to remind you who you are - where you came from and definetly where you are going. In good times and in bad. Kinda reminds me of my surrogate family I have built amongs my close friends. I am very grateful this Christmas for my family and friends - especially all the experience encoutered through the year that have made me a little bit stronger this year. Il faut dire la verite... SAK PASE ?????????? LOL Now let's keep the festivities going- D's got some weight to gain !! LOL
